About This Tour
The journey from Marrakech crosses the High Atlas through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, then continues past kasbahs, oases and red earth villages, with plenty of stops for photos and tea along the way.
Erg Chebbi stretches for about 22 kilometres near the Algerian border, and Merzouga is the village at its foot. Here you leave the vehicle behind and enter a world of sand, where the only sounds are the wind and the steps of the camels.
Zagora lies in the Draa Valley, one of the longest palm groves in the country. The road there crosses the Atlas Mountains and passes earthen villages and kasbahs before the landscape opens up to the first sand dunes of the Sahara.
During these 5 days you will see how much the landscapes of Morocco change in a short time, from mountains and valleys to palm oases and desert plains, with very different ways of life in each region.
