Overnight · Morocco
Some trips are about ticking boxes, but this overnight trek is about taking the time to really feel the Atlas Mountains. With a carefully organised format, a local driver who knows every turn of the road and stays chosen for their character, it is an easy and relaxed way to discover Morocco.
About This Tour
The Atlas Mountains run across Morocco and separate the coast from the Sahara. On the way you will see Berber villages built in red earth, terraced fields and wide mountain views from the passes.
The 2-day programme is flexible: you can start early to make the most of the light, or take things slowly and enjoy long breakfasts and lunches in local restaurants. Accommodation is booked in advance in places we know and trust.
Camels are gentle animals and the ride needs no experience. Wear comfortable clothes, wrap a scarf around your head like the locals do, and enjoy the rolling motion as the dunes turn gold around you.
Sandboarding is easy to try and great fun for all ages: climb a dune, sit or stand on the board and slide down the soft sand. It is a perfect activity before sunset.
The walking parts of the trip are led by a qualified local guide who adapts the pace to the group. Mules can carry the luggage, so you only need a small daypack with water, a jacket and your camera.
This tour can be combined with extra nights in Marrakech or Fes, other excursions or airport transfers. Just let us know in the message field of the booking form and we will build the perfect plan for you.
