About This Tour

The journey from Marrakech crosses the High Atlas through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, then continues past kasbahs, oases and red earth villages, with plenty of stops for photos and tea along the way.

Erg Chebbi stretches for about 22 kilometres near the Algerian border, and Merzouga is the village at its foot. Here you leave the vehicle behind and enter a world of sand, where the only sounds are the wind and the steps of the camels.

The 4-day programme is flexible: you can start early to make the most of the light, or take things slowly and enjoy long breakfasts and lunches in local restaurants. Accommodation is booked in advance in places we know and trust.

Camels are gentle animals and the ride needs no experience. Wear comfortable clothes, wrap a scarf around your head like the locals do, and enjoy the rolling motion as the dunes turn gold around you.

For more excitement, the quad bike session lets you ride over the dunes and flat desert tracks with an experienced instructor. Helmets and short instructions are provided, and the ride is adapted to your level.

The luxury camp offers spacious tents with real beds, private bathrooms and quality bedding, so you can enjoy the desert in comfort. Dinner is served in the camp restaurant or under the stars, followed by music around the fire.

This tour can be combined with extra nights in Marrakech or Fes, other excursions or airport transfers. Just let us know in the message field of the booking form and we will build the perfect plan for you.
