About This Tour
Arriving in Merzouga, the first sight of the dunes rising above the flat stony desert is unforgettable. Late afternoon is the best moment, when the sand glows orange and the shadows draw perfect curves on every crest.
Over 3 days and 2 nights, the itinerary balances time on the road with visits and moments to relax. Distances are planned so you arrive before dark whenever possible, and your driver is always ready to stop for a viewpoint, a coffee or a short walk.
At the end of the afternoon you meet your camel and its handler at the foot of the dunes. The caravan slowly makes its way through the sand while the sun goes down, a peaceful moment that is often the highlight of the trip.
For more excitement, the quad bike session lets you ride over the dunes and flat desert tracks with an experienced instructor. Helmets and short instructions are provided, and the ride is adapted to your level.
The luxury camp offers spacious tents with real beds, private bathrooms and quality bedding, so you can enjoy the desert in comfort. Dinner is served in the camp restaurant or under the stars, followed by music around the fire.
