About This Tour
Erg Chebbi stretches for about 22 kilometres near the Algerian border, and Merzouga is the village at its foot. Here you leave the vehicle behind and enter a world of sand, where the only sounds are the wind and the steps of the camels.
During these 3 days you will see how much the landscapes of Morocco change in a short time, from mountains and valleys to palm oases and desert plains, with very different ways of life in each region.
Camels are gentle animals and the ride needs no experience. Wear comfortable clothes, wrap a scarf around your head like the locals do, and enjoy the rolling motion as the dunes turn gold around you.
Trekking here follows ancient paths used by shepherds and villagers. Along the way you will pass terraced fields, small springs and villages where you may be invited for mint tea.
