About This Tour
The journey from Marrakech crosses the High Atlas through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, then continues past kasbahs, oases and red earth villages, with plenty of stops for photos and tea along the way.
Erg Chebbi stretches for about 22 kilometres near the Algerian border, and Merzouga is the village at its foot. Here you leave the vehicle behind and enter a world of sand, where the only sounds are the wind and the steps of the camels.
During these 4 days you will see how much the landscapes of Morocco change in a short time, from mountains and valleys to palm oases and desert plains, with very different ways of life in each region.
Expect a warm welcome with mint tea on arrival, a spacious tent decorated with Berber rugs, a proper bed with fresh linen and a private bathroom with hot shower. Dinner is a feast of Moroccan dishes, and the night ends with drums and stories by the fire.
